DESCRIPTION: The 2024 – 2025 Studentreasures National Book Challenge Contest (”Contest”) begins at 12:00 AM Eastern Time (“ET”)
on 6/1/24 and ends at 11:59 PM ET on 5/31/25 (“Contest Period”). ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is open only to educators in U.S., U.S. Territories
and Canada, who are legal residents of the 50 United States (including the District of Columbia) or Canada (excluding Quebec), 18 years of age
or older and the age of majority in his/her state/province of residence at the time of entry, and who are teachers of grades PreK-12 who teach in and are participating in the Contest on behalf of a registered public school, home school or accredited private school (“Entrant”). Employees, directors and officers and their immediate families (spouses and siblings, parents and children and their spouses) and household members of Studentreasures, LLC (“Sponsor”) and their parent companies, subsidiaries, distributors, affiliates, advertising and contest agencies and companies involved in the design, implementation and execution of the contest (collectively the “Contest Entities”) are not eligible. Contest is void where prohibited. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

AGREEMENT TO THE OFFICIAL RULES: By participating in the Contest, each participant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all
requirements set forth herein.

HOW TO ENTER: To enter, Entrants must visit www.nationalbookchallenge.com (the “Website”) during the Contest Period, read and accept these
Official Rules and complete the form to order his/her free publishing project (“Kit Order”) by providing his/her name, email address,
telephone number, grade taught, school name, and school address. Once he/she received his/her kit, Entrant must have his/her students complete the kit pages and follow the instructions provided in the Kit Order. The Entrant must submit the completed kit pages for publishing by 11:59 PM ET on 5/31/25 (students may not submit the kit pages). Kits submitted for publishing hereinafter referred to as “Entries”. All requested information must be provided, regardless of entry method. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Entry and/or Entrant associated with any Entry that is obscene or offensive, endorses any form of hate or hate group or is derogatory to any ethic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group, that communicates messages or images inconsistent with the positive images and/or goodwill to which Sponsor wishes to associate, or that includes images of a known celebrity, famous or well-known person or any content which may infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity or other intellectual property or other legal or moral rights of any person or entity.

In the event any participant engages or has engaged in behavior that (as determined by Sponsor in Sponsor’s sole discretion) is obnoxious or threatening, illegal or that tends to annoy, abuse, threaten, disparage or harass any other person or company including the Sponsor or is otherwise inappropriate, the Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify the Entrant or winner and void any Entries associated with such entity. Entrant warrants that it has obtained written permission from any individual and/or his/her parent/legal guardian for the inclusion of the content submitted with the Kit/Entry.

WINNER SELECTION: The potential prize winners and finalists will be voted on and selected by a judging committee appointed by Sponsor to be conducted on or about 6/1/25 from among all eligible Entries received using the following judging criteria:
A. Illustration (40%)
B. Storyline (30%)
C. Originality (30%)
The Entry which receives the highest judging score will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner;
the Entry which receives the second-highest judging score will be deemed the potential Second Prize winner;
the Entry which receives the third-highest judging score will be deemed the potential Third Prize winner; and
the Entries which receive the fourth- through fifty-third- highest judging score will be deemed the potential Finalist Prize winner (“Finalists”). In the event of a tie, the tied entries will be judged by a separate panel of judges to be appointed by Sponsor using the judging criteria above. The winners and finalists will be selected by a panel of judges whose decisions relating to this contest is final and binding. Potential winning Entrants and their students’ legal guardians will be required to complete and return a Book Release Form within fourteen (14) days of receipt. Failure to timely respond (within fourteen (14) days of initial contact by a Studentreasures, LLC representative) or return of any required, executed documents may cause prize to be forfeited and awarded to an alternate as solely determined by the Sponsor. Entrants and their students’ legal guardians may be sent the Book Release Form before winners have been determined in order to help expedite the winner confirmation process, however failure to return any required documentation at this time will not prevent any such student or the corresponding Entrant/Entry from being deemed a potential prize winner per the process and requirements outlined herein. An authorized agent of the school associated with a winning Entry may be required to complete and return any additional paperwork required in order for winning Entries’ school to accept any prize within fourteen (14) days of receipt. In the event that a potential winner, school or finalist is disqualified for any reason, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate.

PRIZES/APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (“ARV”): One (1) Grand Prize winner’s school will receive a Studentreasures Grand Prize Pack which includes a
$5,000USD school grant and $600USD prize pack (ARV $5,600USD); one (1) Second Prize winner’s school will receive a Studentreasures Second Prize
Pack which includes a $1,000USD school grant and $600USD prize pack (ARV $1,600USD); one (1) Third Prize winner’s school will receive a Studentreasures Third Prize Pack which includes a $500USD school grant and $600USD prize pack (ARV $1,100USD); fifty (50) Finalist Prize winners’ schools will receive a Studentreasures Finalist Prize Pack which includes a $50USD gift card (gift card will be chosen by Sponsor in its sole discretion) and a printable certificate featuring their book cover (ARV $50USD/each). Total ARV of all prizes is $10,800USD. Prize packs will include a copy of the book submitted by the winning Entrant, a ribbon and certificate for each verified student (as named by the Entrant) that participated in the creation of such book and whose parent/legal guardian completed and returned a Book Release Form up to thirty (30) students per winner. Prizes may not be transferred or assigned. No substitution may be made, except by the Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize in whole or in part with another prize of comparable or greater value. Gift cards are subject to terms and conditions of card issuer. Merchandise may differ from those shown in promotional materials. Expenses not specifically stated above, together with the reporting and payment of all applicable income taxes (if any), arising out of, or resulting from, acceptance or use of a Prize, are the sole responsibility of the winners, prize recipients and finalists. Contest Entities
expressly disclaim any responsibility or liability for injury or loss to any person or property relating to the delivery and/or subsequent use of the prizes awarded. Contest Entities make no representations or warranties concerning the appearance, safety, or performance of any prize awarded. Restrictions, conditions, and limitations apply. Contest Entities are not liable for, and will not replace, any lost or stolen prize items once delivered to the winners/prize recipients. Except where prohibited by law, entry and acceptance of prize constitutes permission and a license for the Sponsor to use Entrant associated with a winning Entry and prize recipient’s name, hometown/location, likeness, statements and other personally identifiable information, and the Entry, for any legal purposes including but not limited to promotional, advertising and marketing purposes in any media throughout the world without additional prize, incentive, consideration, consent or review.

GENERAL CONDITIONS / RELEASE: By participating and/or accepting a prize, Entrants and prize recipients release Contest Entities,
their respective directors, officers, agents and employees from any and all liability for any claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any
kind caused by their participation, including the unauthorized or illegal access to personally identifiable or sensitive information or the acceptance,
possession, use, or misuse of the prize. Neither Contest Entities nor any service providers are responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of Entry information, or for any human or other error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data or voice transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any online service or Website or to complete a telephone call or facsimile transaction, or any other error or malfunction, or late, lost or misdirected mail, or any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in this Contest. Although subsequent attempts to submit an Entry may be received, only the first complete Entry received from a particular Entrant will be eligible; subsequent attempts by the same person to enter, including Entries submitted with an alternate email address or identity will be disqualified. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an entrant, submission will be deemed submitted by the “Authorized Account Holder” of the email address submitted by the Entrant. Authorized Account Holder means the natural person to whom the email address is registered. Any Entrant or potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder to Sponsor’s satisfaction. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE, TAMPER WITH THE ENTRY PROCESS, OR OTHERWISE UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO COOPERATE IN THE PROSECUTION OF ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL(S) AND TO PURSUE ALL REMEDIES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

If for any reason the Contest is not capable of being executed as planned, or infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, action of entrants, technical failures or any other causes which in the opinion of Sponsor, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any suspect Entry or Entrant and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. In the event of any cancellation, termination or suspension, notice thereof will be posted at the Contest Website(s) and the selection of winners for affected drawings will be made, from among all eligible, non-suspect Entries received for such affected drawings as of the date of the termination, cancellation or suspension, as Sponsor determines in its sole discretion. Entries not complying with all rules are subject to disqualification.

GOVERNING LAW/JURISDICTION/DISPUTES: Entrants agree that (a) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Contest or prizes awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court for the Topeka District of Kansas or the appropriate Kansas State Court located in Shawnee County, Kansas; (b) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Contest but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (c) under no circumstances will registrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and registrant hereby waives all rights to, claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by,
and construed in accordance with, the laws of State of Kansas, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Kansas or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Kansas.
